LARRY D. HALL for NC House District 29

ATTORNEY, LARRY D. HALL, HOUSE DISTRICT 29 CANDIDATE
RECEIVES COVETED ENDORSEMENT FROM LABOR

Durham’s native son Atty. Larry D. Hall, Candidate for NC House District 29 has won the endorsement of the Triangle Labor Council and AFL-CIO, the largest labor organization in North Carolina. The Triangle Labor Council and the State AFL-CIO endorse worker-friendly candidates for office based on the candidate’s responses to questionnaires and their work in the community.

Larry received the endorsement in March.

AFL-CIO State President Michael Gravinese announced Larry had received the endorsment.

Upon receiving notice of the endorsement Larry stated, “I have always been supportive of workers rights, safety and fair benefits. I am glad they know that I stood with them in the past and will stand for their rights in the legislature.”

Larry Hall is a Durham native and attended Durham’s Public Schools and North Carolina Central University before graduating from J. C. Smith University and being commissioned a U. S. Marine Officer. He later attended Law School at UNC-Chapel Hill and began practicing law in Durham with Michaux & Michaux, P.A. He has been in private practice since 1990.

AFL-CIO State President Michael Gravinese stated that the union will inform the members of the endorsement and work hard to turn them out on behalf of Larry on Election Day.

Attorney Hall is seeking to represent District 29 in the NC House of Representatives. Hall previously received the endorsement of the local union U.E. Local-150 in 2004. Most recently in 2004-2005 Hall served on the Worker’s Rights Board with members of the Durham legislative delegation Representative Paul Luebke and Senator Jeanne Lucas in conducting public hearings on government worker rights to negotiate benefits.
